VITAMIN E (TOCOPHEROL) participates in tissue respiration processes, supports the immune system (including skin barrier immunity), protecting the reproduction of immune system cells. It is necessary for the stabilization of biological membranes. By slowing down the process of peroxide lipid formation, it restores their structure and function. It is a powerful antioxidant. Participating in reactions with lipids, it forms a low-energy tocopherol radical, which by itself does not promote prolonged chain reactions with membrane lipids, but can restore its antioxidant properties with other antioxidants, such as vitamin C. It preserves and enhances the effect of vitamin C on the skin, strengthens the hydrolipid mantle and is a natural sunscreen, protecting the skin from UV rays and slowing down the aging process. Vitamin E is an irreplaceable component of eyelash care. It activates the processes of growth and regeneration, affecting the hair follicles and prevents hair breakage by providing antioxidant protection.
KAOLIN – white clay has a high absorption capacity and participates in stabilizing the electrolytic balance in the skin. Kaolin is a very delicate abrasive that has antibacterial properties and therefore is ideal for both sensitive skin and problematic skin with inflamed areas.
AVOCADO OIL contains a unique composition of fatty acids: saturated (myristic, palmitic, stearic, arachidic) and unsaturated (oleic, linoleic, linolenic, arachidonic). This composition of fatty acids is similar to the fatty acid complex that forms the basis of the skin’s hydro-lipid mantle. This is why avocado oil acids easily dissolve in the skin’s lipids and restore its barrier functions. In addition, avocado oil holds the record for the number of vitamins and minerals our skin needs, such as potassium, magnesium, silicon, phosphorus, vitamins A, B, C, E, D and K.
Avocado oil is a very powerful antioxidant. Fat-soluble vitamins bind free radicals, preventing their activity, and squalene contained in the oil, which has a high immunostimulating capacity, protects the skin from their external impact. In addition, squalene promotes the skin’s absorption of carotene and stimulates the synthesis of vitamin D in the skin.
Avocado oil plays an active role in stimulating the synthesis of our own collagen, which was scientifically proven at the end of the 20th century by research institutes in Israel.
SWEET ALMOND OIL is a rich source of fatty acids, primarily oleic and linoleic acids. Oleic acid is involved in regulating the concentration of cholesterol in cell membranes, affecting their rigidity, which helps to restore skin elasticity. In addition, oleic acid has a striking feature – in the area of the double bond it has a spatial curvature, due to which the length of the fatty acid chain decreases while the volume occupied by it increases. This feature determines the pronounced penetrating ability of oleic acid and its enhancer properties.
Linoleic acid is a binding component in the structure of the epidermis, regulating the development of keratinocytes. It has a strong anti-inflammatory effect, reduces skin reactivity, increases local immunity.
Sweet almond oil contains a large number of vitamins – A, C, E, B, as well as phylloquinone – a type of vitamin K, effectively reducing the permeability of the capillary wall and reducing the manifestations of couperose. Antioxidant activity of the oil is manifested due to the high content of polyphenolic compounds in the oil – protocatechuic, p-hydroxybenzoic, vanillic acids. The peculiarity of almond oil is its duality: on the one hand, it is very nourishing and softens the skin perfectly, but on the other hand it is very light and is instantly absorbed by the skin without leaving a greasy feeling.
NATURAL GLYCERIN is a unique multi-functional agent, which plays a decisive role in the hydration of the stratum corneum and the epidermis in general and therefore in the normalization of the skin regeneration process. Glycerin, which has a high degree of hygroscopicity, increases the water-holding capacity of the stratum corneum. Otherwise, when the humidity of the stratum corneum decreases, the desquamation process is disturbed; enzymes destroying root desmosomes lose their activity; exfoliation is uneven; with a lack of water the horny envelopes become deformed, causing a feeling of tightness of the skin.
Glycerin, with the help of aquaporins-3, penetrates deep into the epidermis, forming a kind of water reservoir, restoring the overall level of hydration of the epidermis. The skin remains moisturized even 24 hours after the application of glycerin.
BEESWAX is a product of bees’ wax glands with high biological activity. The main part of the wax is compound esters of saturated fatty acids (palmitic, cerotic, myristic) and high-molecular monatomic alcohols. Fatty acids have a softening, film-forming effect, thanks to which moisture is retained in the skin without evaporating. Beeswax contains a record amount of carotene, which determines its anti-inflammatory, healing and regenerating effect. The wax film does not mix with the skin’s own lipids and is therefore completely non-comedogenic if prone to oily skin. Wax is a natural antibiotic that does not lose its bactericidal properties when heat treated.
