SHI WOOD OIL is a complex of triglycerides formed by fatty acids – oleic, stearic, palmitic – and unsaponifiables fats represented by carotenoids, triterpene compounds, phytosterols, tocopherols. Thanks to this composition Shea butter has an intensive protective effect. Fatty acids protect the skin from dehydration, softening it and restoring the lipid barrier. Carotenoids have excellent antioxidant properties, protect organic molecules from oxidative damage, and participate in the stabilization of cell membranes. Carotenoids have conjugated double bonds, so they block the formation of free radicals by binding singlet oxygen molecules.
