GLYCOLIC ACID (15%) – The most effective of all AHA acids, due to its low molecular weight, which makes it one of the most effective acids in anti-aging procedures. It is able to penetrate all layers of the epidermis, up to the dermis, and has a multi-functional effect on the skin: 1) Exfoliating – it destroys the connections between horny scales, which promotes their exfoliation. Loosens the keratinized pore openings of the sebaceous glands, facilitating the evacuation of the contents of the sebaceous ducts. 2) Rejuvenating – it stimulates the activity of fibroblasts, activates collagen synthesis. Improvement of synthetic processes in the dermal layer leads to thickening of the dermis and improvement of the structure of the intercellular matrix. 3) Moisturizing – stimulates the synthesis of hyaluronic acid in the epidermal and dermal layers, which binds and retains water in the skin, increasing its hydration level and reducing transepidermal moisture loss. 4) Anti-inflammatory – antioxidant properties of glycolic acid allow it to influence inflammatory mediators, reducing their production. Additionally, it eliminates hyperkeratosis and normalizes sebum secretion by indirectly affecting keratinocyte differentiation. This makes it suitable for use in acne treatment protocols and the reduction of hyperpigmentation of any origin.
VITAMIN C – ASCORBYL TETRAISOPALMITATE (1%) – The liposomal form of vitamin C, one of the most stable forms, does not oxidize under the influence of light and air. When applied to the skin, it is broken down by enzymes with the formation of free ascorbic acid, and actively manifests all the physiological properties of the vitamin, especially in “cooperation” with vitamin E. It is excellent for the skin, gives quick results, and is suitable even for sensitive skin. Ascorbyl tetraisopalmitate inhibits the process of melanogenesis, prevents the formation of pigment spots and brightens already existing ones, corrects the signs of photoaging of the skin. It has an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effect, protects skin cells from destruction by free radicals, and accelerates the regeneration process.
VITAMIN E (Tocopherol) – It participates in the processes of tissue respiration, supports the immune system (including skin barrier immunity), protecting the reproduction of cells of the immune system. It’s necessary for stabilization of biological membranes. Slowing down the process of formation of peroxide lipids, it restores their structure and functions. It is a powerful antioxidant. Participating in reactions with lipids, it forms a low-energy tocopherol radical, which by itself does not contribute to the continuation of chain reactions with membrane lipids, but can restore its antioxidant properties with the help of other antioxidants, for example, vitamin C. Preserves and enhances the effect of vitamin C on the skin, strengthens the hydrolipidic mantle, is a natural sun protective filter, protecting the skin from the effects of UV rays and slowing down the aging process. Vitamin E is an indispensable component in eyelash care. Activates growth and regeneration processes, affecting hair bulbs, and also prevents their fragility, providing them with antioxidant protection.
